Are you ready to say YES to YOU in a BIG way?
Join The Space family as we bring you this unique and comprehensive yoga training. This program is designed for those seeking an opportunity to learn and grow in completely unexpected ways through a comprehensive study of Yoga. This program is also for those who have completed a teacher training program but feel like they are missing the heart of what Yoga truly is and all that it encompasses.
Did you know that only 25% of people that attend a yoga teacher training program actually go on to teach yoga classes? This is because most people are attending these programs for their own personal growth and curiosity. Ask anyone that has gone through an extended yoga teacher training program about their experience and you will hear things like, “it forever changed me”, “the best thing I have ever done for myself”, “I felt so connected to the group”. Yoga training is NOT about learning to teach yoga (although it can be if that is your goal) it is far more about your own spiritual expansion & awakening. It is about opening yourself up in completely new ways and learning to see things from a new perspective. It is about putting yourself first and choosing your own spiritual path.
This is the real beauty and power of a yoga training program.
When deciding to offer a yoga training program we knew we wanted to offer this for our community; however for many months we struggled with clarity as the types of programs that most of us went through didn’t seem to quite fit with The Space. Once we let go of our own expectations and past experiences we were opened to a whole new way of thinking about yoga training. We were guided to see what could be possible if we would only allow things to be different for our community. As we stepped out of the way…Spirit stepped in and the Divine Spirit Yoga Training was created. This program speaks to the heart of who we are at The Space. It is a program designed with expansion and love at the core. It is a program that will open you up to not only the traditional yoga topics like Asana, Pranayama, Chakras & Meditation but we go deeper and expand into topics like Energy Healing, Ayurveda, Mindfulness, Deities, Chanting & Sound. It is a program that encompasses the spiritual journey like none other that we have come across.
Divine Spirit Yoga Training (DSYT) has roots in the history and philosophy of yoga yet expands beyond the traditional. The content covered is rich, practical and thorough so that you will understand and experience yoga (to unite) as a whole. In addition to expanding your knowledge you will learn how to bring all aspects of yoga into your daily life for overall wellness, healing and deep personal growth. Our teachers are extremely knowledgeable and passionate in their areas of study, providing you with an opportunity to learn from diverse viewpoints and backgrounds. Learning will be experiential, rewarding and fun with many opportunities for self-reflection, self-inquiry, self-discovery and life-long learning.
DSYT is for those who want to dive deeper into the study and practice of yoga and spiritual methods from a place of expanded vision with a small group of like-hearted people in the loving, supportive energy of The Space.
Our intimate space offers an opportunity to truly connect on a deeper level learning and growing together in community. Our studies will be secular, encouraging you to cultivate and honor your own Divine Spirit.
This 7 month program is dedicated time and space for YOU. It is the opportunity to break through the chains of the mind and open to the expansiveness of heart-centered living. It is a chance to say YES to your own Spirit calling to awaken and be heard. It is your chance to expand in ways you may have never even considered; in ways only your heart knows to be possible with loving and supportive guides along the way. The most important work that you will ever do in this life is the work of awakening, it is the work of remembering who you really are and why you are here. Divine Spirit Yoga Training is designed to open up truth within your own heart.

Teresa Torgerson
Teresa has been practicing yoga since 1998 and teaching since 2014. Although her yoga journey started as a physical practice to balance marathon training and tennis, she soon realized the amazing emotional and spiritual benefits of yoga, noting that “it just makes me a better person”. Teresa knew that she wanted to share the many healing benefits of yoga with others so when the time was right she enrolled in a 200RYT program in 2009, and went on to complete two 300RYT programs. Being a passionate learner of everything yoga, Teresa has earned certifications and specializations in vinyasa, yin, restorative, yoga nidra, Usui Reiki, philosophy and sound healing. Having a keen interest in anatomy and philosophy, she strives to make yoga inclusive and sustainable for all bodies and minds by introducing students to yoga philosophy, meditation and breathwork in addition to the physical practice. Teresa has led numerous workshops and has been involved in teacher training programs both in Arizona and Minnesota. When not sharing the gift of yoga with others, you will find Teresa practicing yoga, playing tennis or pickleball, golfing, hiking or spending time on the lake with her family.

What Our Clients Say...
“I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Divine Spirit Yoga Training program, and it has truly been a life-altering experience for me. Throughout the program, I delved deep into the essence of yoga, exploring its various dimensions and uncovering profound insights about myself and the world around me. The teachings and practices offered in the program were comprehensive and enlightening, allowing me to develop a strong foundation in yoga philosophy, asana, pranayama, and meditation. The guidance and support provided by the program facilitators were exceptional. Their expertise and passion for yoga were evident in every session, and their commitment to nurturing each participant’s growth was truly inspiring. They created a safe and inclusive space that fostered personal exploration, self-reflection, and transformation.”
“I thought DSYT sounded like a great way to learn more about the world of yoga, the different types of yoga, and how yoga could improve my life. I knew it wasn’t specifically a course for training yoga instructors, which is great because that’s not something I ever aspire to be. I thought it would be a great new hobby. A new skill. The equivalent of learning a new language. So I signed up! Now, as we approach the final weekend of training, I look back on what I experienced as so much more than “yoga school”. I did learn about some different types of yoga classes (yin, hatha, kundalini, restorative, vinyasa, nidra), but I also learned the history of yoga, the basics of deities and angels and spirit guides, chakras, pranayama, sound therapy, reiki, mantra, shamanism, healing circles, and SO much more. I have learned the importance of mindfulness and meditation, and how asanas and mudras (postures and poses of the body and hands) are just a small part of what makes up a yoga practice. I formed a very close bond with my classmates, my tribe members, many who have also started teaching classes of their own at The Space. I gained a support system that will follow me through the ups and downs of my life.”
“The DSYT program was so much more than I expected! I loved every minute of it and am so grateful to all the teachers that helped to expand my knowledge about yoga in ways that were unexpected and exciting. The intimate nature of the program created an environment where I could feel safe to share and explore in ways that I normally would not. This is so much more than your average “training”. Highly recommend!”
“I thought that I wanted a traditional 200 hr yoga training however after exploring The Space DSYT program I decided to dive in and I am so happy that I did! I know that I received much more than I would have from your average teacher training program and am excited to take away all that I have learned to continue exploring and growing on my own personal spiritual journey.”
