We are now officially in Libra Season, and we start the season off with a very impactful Super Full Moon in Aries at 6° on September 29, 2023. This full moon heralds not only intense illumination but also activates the beginning of a potent cosmic shift with the impending eclipse season in October. The energy will feel highly emotional as we toy with the urge to take action, call in more inspiration to expand into more of our true selves and live our desires. It’s a time to tune into where the life force is calling us, remembering our sovereignty and independence. Aries is known for taking quick action and its assertive and fearless nature, taking risks, and boldly pursuing one’s desires.

What makes this Full Moon particularly interesting is the influence of Mars, the ruling planet of Aries, transiting through Libra. When Mars is in Libra, it prefers to weigh options and make decisions carefully, often leading to a somewhat indecisive energy. However, it also injects passion and determination into the pursuit of balance and fairness in our relationships and partnerships.

This is offering up a dynamic blend of assertiveness, passion, and the quest for balance. This moon is filled with impulsive and fiery energy that can cause emotions to run high, and there is a natural inclination to take spontaneous actions. We may feel this urgency on a physical level as well as emotional. This is not the time for overdoing it, over-asserting, rushing, pushing, or forcing. We are being guided to sidestep any temptation to get caught up in power struggles, debates and arguments, blaming others, or trying to change anyone. While acting impulsive can sometimes lead to exciting outcomes, it’s essential to harness this energy in a more balanced way to avoid unnecessary conflicts and regrets. There is a call to take the needs of others into consideration when taking action and to find compromise in relationships.

To amplify this, Mars will be conjunct with the South Node in Libra adding a unique layer of significance to this moon. The South Node represents karmic patterns and past experiences, often pointing to areas where we need to release old habits and patterns. In Libra, the south Node focuses on relationships, harmony, and balance. This energy could bring up issues related to past relationships and unresolved karmic connections. It presents an opportunity to address relationship issues, what old patterns need to be released, and any lingering issues that may be hindering your growth.

Also during this lunation, we have Venus in Leo, our planet that represents love, relationships, and values will be in a square to Uranus in Taurus which is known for unpredictability, and its desire for freedom and change. This can cause tension and surprises in matters of love, relationships, and even finances. There may be a desire for more freedom and independence within partnerships or sudden changes in values and priorities. We may be waking up to major revelations and breaking free from old stories.

One more thing to note is that the moon will activate Chiron (The Wounded Healer) which is currently in Aries. This will be a profound opportunity for healing and growth, a time to confront our wounds, particularly around personal identity, sovereignty, or past experiences that may have left emotional scars. This Full Moon in Aries serves as the precursor and cosmic pointer to the upcoming eclipse season. It’s calling out for you to be courageous in letting go or releasing something so that there might be more peace, justice, or harmony in your life.

Begin now by paying close attention to what this moon shines light on, it will be offering hints and valuable insights to prepare for changes and opportunities the eclipse season can bring. It’s setting the stage for personal growth and can be a pivotal turning point. The actions we take now will propel us into the next chapter of our life’s journey.

  • Break free from what no longer feels authentic and alive;
  • Activate or re-energize your spiritual warrior;
  • And where you’re asking the Aries questions: What do I really want? Where is my vitality and excitement calling me? What would it look like to just be myself and own it?
